FMCC softball wraps up season

HERKIMER — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College softball team finished its season Sunday with a doubleheader at Herkimer College.

The Lady Raiders lost the first game, 17-0 and the second game, 20-0.

Sam De La Fleur and Emily Washburn each singled to start game one, but were unable to push a run across. Herkimer scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning. 

De La Fleur threw a scoreless second inning to hold the high powered Herkimer offense to just two runs.  The Generals opened the game up in the third inning scoring 10 runs. 

In game two, Washburn pitched for the Raiders. She held the Generals to just one run over three innings. 

The Lady Raiders could not get the bats going. 

Herkimer scored 11 runs in the fourth and eight runs in the fifth inning to seal the victory. 

De La Fleur had the lone hit for FMCC.
