Relyea fourth at Lake George Nordic Invy

NORTH CREEK — Mayfield’s Madison Relyea recorded a fourth-place finish at the Lake George Invitational Thursday at the Gore Mountain Nordic Center on Thursday.

Relyea, a freshman, recorded a time of 22.22 over the Gore Mountain course.

Emily Frasier finished 34th for the Lady Panthers with her time of 36:30.9

Johnstown’s Alayna Gray and Abigail Gottung finished 19th and 31st with respective times of 26:57.1 and 31.47.1.

On the boys side, Mayfield’s Tyler Newkirk turned in a time of 33:40.8 to finish 19th in the varsity boys race, while Riley Mykel was 25th in 35:56.4 and Adam Liebers was 26th in 36:13.2. Shawn Allen placed 30th for the Panthers with his time of 37:58. and Nate VanHorn was 42nd with his time of 42:26.4.

Gabe Cole led Johnstown with his 35th-place finish in 39:01.2, while Zachary Ropeter was 40th in 41.28 and Caleb Kobas finished 47th in 52.00.

Canajoharie’s Louis Hand finished 41st with his time of 41:44.6.

The Mayfield boys finished seventh in the team standings with 70 points, while Johnstown was 10th with 122. Canajoharie posted an incomplete score.

Queensbury won the boys competition with 11 points.

Mayfield and Johnstown posted incomplete scores in the girls meet that was won by Queensbury over Shenendehowa, 12-21.
