Rosemary Schreivogl, 96, of Johnstown, N.Y., passed away June 17, 2014, at her home. She was born on Sept. 20, 1918, in Johnstown, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Stross Pavlovic. She was a 1935 graduate of Johnstown High School and attended Johnstown Business School.
On Oct. 19, 1940, she was united in marriage to William Schreivogl and assisted him in the operation of the Schreivogl Construction Co. Mr. Schreivogl passed away on July 6, 1997. Mrs. Schreivogl was first employed as a dental assistant for Dr. J. Richard Charles. She then was employed by Upstate Telephone and later as a secretary for Leon Swears Inc. She was a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, where she also taught Sunday school. She was a member of the former St. Cyril and Method Church. Mrs. Schreivogl was a member of the local board of directors of the American Cancer Society, where she also served as a Reach and Recovery volunteer. She was a member of the Ladies Slovak Sokol 33, a life member of Disabled American Veterans Aux., a member of Church Women United of Johnstown and Gloversville and was a former president of the N. Perry St. School PTA.
Mrs. Schreivogl is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Philip) Robinson and a son, Andrew (Diane) Schreivogl, both of Johnstown. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Anna R. Moudgil, Laura R. Weil, Andra E. Kollar; her grandson, Matthew W. Schreivogl; great-granddaughters, Priya C. Moudgil, Julia Rose Kollar; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Ehle Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Johnstown, N.Y. Interment will be in Ferndale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to JAVAC or the American Cancer Society.
