QUEENSBURY - Sara Kosowicz was fifth in the girls race Wednesday at the Queensbury Alpine Invitational at West Mountain.
Kosowicz finished the one-run giant slalom event with a time of 32.64 seconds.
Shenendehowa's Kirsten Kruk won the race with a time of 31.51 seconds, while Queensbury's Katie Zilka was second with a time of 31.67.
Shenendehowa won the girls team title with a total of 10 points. Queensbury was second with 27 points and Saratoga Springs was third with 28 points. Johnstown was sixth with a total of 62 points.
Serena Smith was 22nd for Johnstown with a time of 37.11 seconds, while Reilly Kotwasinski (39.79 seconds) was 35th. Emily Havlicek (41.28) was 40th for the Lady Bills, Whitney Western (44.27) was 44th and Payton Sardella (46.54) was 48th.
Saratoga Springs won the boys team title with a total of 12 points, while Queensbury was second with 17 points. Johnstown was sixth with 73 points.
Saratoga Springs' Kieran Mottau won the boys race with a time of 29.01 seconds, while Queensbury's Russell Merchant was second.
Zack Szurek led Johnstown, placing 22nd with a time of 35.08 seconds. Lukas Levin (35.11 seconds) was 23rd for the Sir Bills, Nick Salatel (35.78) was 28th, Sam Bobbette (37.35) was 32nd, Noah Western (38.45) was 34th and Zack Simone (41.09) was 40th.
