GLEN- A Utica man was arrested Tuesday after he was pulled over by troopers, state police said.

Michael J. Taub, 20, of Utica was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police said Taub was pulled over for speeding. Troopers claim they smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said.

Taub, according to police, had 3.6 grams of marijuana, a third of a gram of MDMA, otherwise known as ecstasy, and three forged New York state driver's licenses.

Taub was sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of bail. He is expected to return to court Thursday.
