Girls Soccer Roundup: Queensbury tops Broadalbin-Perth

QUEENSBURY - Brittany LaPlant finished with three goals to lead Queensbury to a 4-1 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council girls soccer contest Friday.

Amy Rodriguez also scored for the Spartans.

Katie Herba scored the lone goal for Broadalbin-Perth (12-2 overall, 10-2 Foothills).

Amy O'Brien made eight saves to earn the win in goal for Queensbury (12-0 Foothills).

Rachel Orapello made eight saves for B-P.

Scotia-Glenville 5, Gloversville 0

GLOVERSVILLE - Kelsey Martin scored twice for Scotia-Glenville in a shutout win over Gloversville.

Abby O'Connor, Dom Puglisi and Lauren Zeglen also scored for the Lady Tartans (9-3 Foothills).

Gloversville slipped to 3-10 overall and 3-9 in Foothills Council play with the loss.

South Glens Falls 4, Johnstown 2

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Gabrielle Kreppein finished with two goals, leading South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council victory over Johnstown.

Lexi Potter and Lauren Vetter each had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, while Shannon Curley and Bryndelyn McNeary and Katrina VanDixhorn each had an assist.

Morganne Dick scored for Johnstown, which also benefitted from an own goal by the Bulldogs.

Elyse Green made five saves for South Glens Falls, while Ellen Praught made 15 stops for the Lady Bills.

WAC

Middleburgh 5, Northville 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney finished with four goals, powering Middleburgh to a shutout win over Northville.

Carley Ryan also scored for the Knights, while Taylor Cater posted two assists.

Kiera Morgan made five saves to post the shutout win in goal for Middleburgh.

Taylor Fancher stopped 11 shots for Northville (6-8 overall, 6-6 WAC).

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1, Mayfield 0

MAYFIELD - Ila Kochan scored the game's only goal to lift Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a win over Mayfield.

Delaney Martin assisted on the second-half goal for the Bulldogs.

Julianna Martin made five saves to post the shutout win in goal for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Maria Messina and Megan Frasier combined to make three saves for Mayfield (1-11 overall, 1-9 WAC).

Schoharie 10, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Seana Cleveland finished with two goals and two assists, leading Schoharie to a shutout win over Sharon Springs.

McKenzie Phelan had two goals and an assist for the Indians, while Carolyn Krohn, Carly Farineau and Mariah Bachanas each had a goal and an assist.

Kailee VanGasbeck, Kaitlyn Kendle and Desiree Palmatier also scored for Schoharie (14-0-1 overall, 11-0 WAC), while Serena Repsher had two assists. Cecilia Sanchirico added an assist for the Indians.

Samantha Jackson and Alexis VanArsdale combined to make six saves for Sharon Springs (1-10-1 overall, 1-7 WAC).

Center State Conference

Dolgeville 4, West Canada Valley 0

DOLGEVILLE - Sarah George scored all four goals to lead Dolgeville to a shutout win over West Canada Valley.

Joslin Null had two assists for the Blue Devils, while Courtney Hart and Rachel Gross each had an assist.

Katie Millard made four saves to post the shutout win in goal for Dolgeville (6-8-1 overall, 3-5-1 CSC).

Shania McEvoy made three saves for West Canada Valley (2-12 overall, 0-9 CSC).

Non-league

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 5, Fort Plain 1

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Rylie Smith recorded a goal and an assist, leading Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a win over Fort Plain.

Megan Bradt, Tabea Salzmann, Jessi Hagadorn and Hannah Taylor also scored for the Lady Wolves.

Addie Brundage added an assist for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville.

Beth Doxtader scored the lone goal for Fort Plain (0-13-1 overall).

Lexi Romeyn made six saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (11-3-1 overall).

Big 10

Amsterdam 2, Troy 0

AMSTERDAM - Katelyn Burkhart scored two goals to lead Amsterdam to a win over Troy on Thursday.

Diana Constantine and Catie Fedullo each had an assist for the Lady Rams (9-3 overall, 5-1 Big 10).

Cassandra Robataille made four saves to post the shutout win in goal for Amsterdam.
