Money from fundraiser will help home

September 17, 2013
By JAN LANDER , The Leader Herald

On behalf of the board of managers at the Getman Memorial Home, I would like to thank everyone who helped make our first annual ice cream social-craft fair a success.

A big thank you to the following for their donations: Hot Dog Hut, Jack Belknap, Foothills United Methodist Church, Price Chopper, Hannaford, CDPHP, live music by the Silvertones (George Lamont and Joe "C"), Donald Williams, Peter Thaisz, Dr. Gary and Mary DiSanto-Rose, and Donald and Doris Howard.

Also, thank you to the following helpers: Gar Burlett, Lew Decker, Matthew Harrington and David Truscott and all of my board members, especially Sandra Harrington for organizing it and the vendors.

To anyone who I missed, a big thanks. The money raised will go for items for the residents and the home.

JAN LANDER

President of the Board of Managers at the Getman Home, Gloversville
