Linda L. Soules

Mrs. Linda L. Soules, 71, of Gloversville, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 21, 2013, at Albany Medical Center surround by her family.

Born on May 1, 1942, in Herkimer, she was the daughter of the late James and Olive (Provo) Malley.

Linda moved to the Gloversville area as a child. She attended local schools and had worked at various local leather mills over the years.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Redman's Club; she was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. One of Linda's greatest passions was playing cards. She was a pet lover and enjoyed the companionship of her former dog, Buddy.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Soules, who passed away on June 20, 2012. She was also predeceased by her stepchildren, Jeff and Sherry Stewart; her brothers, Maurice and Reynold Malley; and sisters, Harriet Smith and Jeanette Obermann.

She is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Dusty) Rulison of Gloversville, Kimberly (Richard) Williams of Gloversville and Sandy (Steve) Moore of Broadalbin; a stepson, Donald (Hope) Stewart of Stratford; sisters, Margaret (Raymond) Sitterly of Florida, Joyce Abel of Long Island and Bernadette (Richard) Dwyer of Bleecker; grandchildren, Christopher DeSouter, Travis, Kelsey and Austin Moore and Christina (Matt) Christman; one great-grandson, Zachary Jones; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. In keeping with Linda's wishes, there will be no funeral service and cremation will take place at Park View Crematory, Schenectady.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses at this difficult time.
