JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown 50 Plus Club, housed in the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Main St., hosted a Memorial Day dinner service Thursday with a covered dish dinner. The Rev. Brian Dykema, pastor of the Johnstown Reformed Church, led a candlelight prayer service after the dinner.
There are two seats left on the June 19 trip to lobsterfest. There are also openings are available for the trip Monday to Utica, Oneida County, for a tour of the Utica Brewery and lunch at the Radisson Hotel.
The club also will host an afternoon of bingo at 1 p.m. every third Tuesday with a representative from Today's Options calling games. The first upcoming game is at 1 p.m. June 18, and all games have cash prizes.
The first tap and line dancing classes of the season will begin Tuesday at the senior center. Audrey Smith is returning to instruct tap dancing at 6 p.m. and the line dancing class will follow at 7 p.m.
