GLOVERSVILLE - The Sisters of the Holy Spirit recently had a meeting at the Church of the Holy Spirit parish hall.
The new officers include: Cindy Krueger-Farley and Jean LaPorta, co-presidents; Sheila Ambrosino, financial secretary; Ann Masala, treasurer; Patty Franco. recording secretary and historian; Barbara Rieth, corresponding secretary.
Barbara Madonna, director of the Gloversville Public Library, was the guest speaker. The group approved of a donation to the Friends of the Gloversville Library.
A donation also was made to help with the church's heat bill.
A new member, Nancy Krawczeski, was introduced.
Krueger-Farley, Sandy Suchy, Phyllis Berger and Julie Ambrosino were the refreshment committee. Nancy Krawczeski and Fran Garguilo were the winners of the 50-25-25 raffle. Irene Viola won the wreath, donated by Kristin Farley. The March birthdays celebrated were for Jean Botch, Julie Ambrosino, Phil Been and Antionette Tropia.
The next meeting will be Monday. The guest speaker will be a representative from Hospice, a news release said.
Upcoming events include: April 4, a rummage sale; May 6, the annual card party; and June 21, a summer strawberry festival.
