Girls Basketball Roundup: Wadsworth lifts Northville to win

NORTHVILLE - Lyndsey Wadsworth hit a 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining to lift Northville to a 36-34 win over Mayfield in a Western Athletic Conference North Division girls basketball game Wednesday.

Wadsworth, who finished with a game-high 19 points, added a free throw with five seconds remaining to help seal the win.

Kelly VanNostrand finished with eight points for the Lady Falcons (6-8 overall, 5-6 WAC North), while Abby Moore added seven points.

Nicole Little and Kylie Manoogian each scored 12 points to lead Mayfield (4-11 overall, 3-8 WAC North).

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Trailing 26-23 heading into the fourth quarter, Fort Plain outscored Saratoga Catholic 13-6 in the final frame to earn a WAC North Division victory.

Abby Boyer scored 14 points to lead Fort Plain (14-1 overall, 11-0 WAC North), while Haley Kilmartin finished with eight points.

Kaylie Fish scored 15 points to lead Saratoga Catholic (5-9 overall, 3-7 WAC North).

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Alexis Kane finished with 12 points, leading Canajoharie to a WAC North Division win over St. Johnsville.

Canajoharie trailed 14-9 after one quarter, but outscored the Lady Saints 24-8 in the second quarter to take control.

Lauren Balfe and Jenelle Dillenbeck each scored 10 points for the Lady Cougars (9-7 overall, 8-4 WAC North).

Rylie Smith had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. Johnsville (1-12 overall, 0-10 WAC North), while Samantha Cleveland had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
