AMSTERDAM - An administratrix of an estate filed a lawsuit against a Broadalbin doctor and St. Mary's Hospital because of a woman's death.

The lawsuit was filed in Montgomery County on Dec. 19.

According to the lawsuit, Barbara Miller, as administratrix of the estate of Ann A. Supan, is seeking actual compensatory damages from Dr. William D. Mayer, the Mayer and Cope Family Practice and St. Mary's Hospital.

The lawsuit said Supan passed away in December 2010 while under the care of Mayer. The suit claims Supan had been negligently and carelessly treated, which caused her severe serious pain and injury and ultimately led to her death on Dec. 31, 2010.

Miller is represented by William J. White, of the Brennan & White law firm in Queensbury.
