Virginia Walker Rudd Bradt

Virginia Walker Rudd Bradt went to heaven early Monday morning, January 14, 2013. Virginia was born February 26, 1929, in Glens Falls, N.Y., to Harry and Dennia (McCormick) Walker. She lived her life in and around Northville, N.Y., and attended Northville Central School.

Virginia worked outside the home as a waitress in Sacandaga Park, Hubbs Point, and the Highland Motel, also as an aide for Cornell Cooperative Extension, cleaner at Northville Central School and a factory worker at Northern Sportswear in Northville.

She was a member of the Baptist Church of Northville and loved her pastors and church family. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Bradt; and siblings, Harry, Bud, LeRoy, Bob, Bill, George and Don Walker; and sister, Alta Camp. Her brother, Wilson Walker; and sister, Evelyn Trippodo survive.

Virginia was the best mother to: Debbie (James) Beirlein, Janet, Jack and Jeff Rudd and Greg (JoAnne) Rudd. Known to her grandchildren as: gram, grammy, gramma Mike and maudie bug she leaves behind many warm memories for Alicia (Jeff) Playter, Kate (Brian) DeBoard, Alison (Christopher) Barkley, Adam (Jenna) Beirlein, Dalton Rudd, Deloss Rudd and Amelia Benner. Great-grandchildren; Nadia, Ryan and Lily Playter, Ben and Mary Kate Camara. Aunt Ginny was a favorite of all nieces and nephews.

We would like to express our gratitude to River Ridge Living Center for the love and care received while there and to St. Mary's Hospital for wonderful comfort care our whole family received during mom's stay.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Baptist Church of Northville where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northville Ambulance Squad or the Baptist Church of Northville Missions committee.
