GLOVERSVILLE - City police say they arrested a local man accused of throwing a concrete block into the windshield of another man's car on Christmas Eve.

Murry F. Veale, 57, of 353 N. Main St., Apartment 1, was arrested by city police Monday and charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police said they encountered a man seated in his vehicle which had its windshield shattered, and he directed the officers to Veale.

Police said the vehicle's owner had confronted Veale about him being on his business property at 355 N. Main St. without permission, and Veale responded by smashing the man's windshield.

Veale was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
