Earl H. Duesler, age 86, of Rockwood, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Gloversville, after a long illness.
He was born on March 22, 1926, in Rockwood, the son of the late William Duesler (Pappy D) and Ruth Hayner Duesler.
Earl honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 10th Mountain Division. Earl worked as a bridge welder, construction carpenter, and the Town of Ephratah Highway Department until his retirement. He was a former member of the Rockwood-Garoga-Lassellsville Volunteer Fire Company, member of the Sprite Club, Royal Mountain Moonlighters Club and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. Earl was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and loved his pets.
Earl is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat (Burgess) Duesler; one son, William (Liz) Duesler of Perth; two daughters, Michele Cook and Sandra Case, both of Mayfield; four stepchildren; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Earl's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
