Many made antiques show a success

November 9, 2012
The Leader Herald

The Johnstown Historical Society Board of Directors would like to thank all the visitors, patrons, antique dealers, advertisers and the community in general, which made the 11th annual Antiques Show and Sale a giant success.

A special thanks to the Johnstown Area Community Center, in particular Chris Foss, for getting the center set up, and Michelle Jones and the Shirley J. Luck Senior Center, both who graciously allowed us to use their facilities for the weekend of Oct. 20 to 21.

Hats off to Joanne Gifford and the Insurance Women of Fulton County. They should be praised for putting together the excellent Lunch Bag Cafe. They donated all of their proceeds to the Fulton County Food Pantry.

We also would like thank Helen Martin for chairing the event. She devoted a substantial amount of her personal time to ensuring that the show would be a success. We also would like to thank our Historical Society members, and all the other helpers and contributors for their support.

And a special thank you to Sandy Maceyka, who created this event 11 years ago, for her knowledge and direction.

The Johnstown Historical Society thanks everyone who attended and hopes to sponsor the event in future years.
