Freda L. Brothers

Freda L. Brothers, age 60, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2012, at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home, Gloversville.

Freda was born on December 14, 1951, in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Robert S. Miller and Helen E. Anderson Miller. She was a Class of 1970 graduate of Northville Central School. Over the years, she worked for The Leader-Herald, St. Thomas Glove Factory in Gloversville and Lexington Center. For several years, Freda was employed as a Teacher's Aide with the Oppenheim Ephratah School District.

Freda's greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of the former Mt. Carmel Church in Gloversville. She was a member of the Pine Tree Rifle and the Sprite Club. Freda also participated in the Lexington Center Program.

Freda is survived by: her husband, Gary F. Brothers, whom she married on August 12, 1973; one son, Jason Brothers, and his companion Desiree Alessi of Gloversville, one daughter, Kelly (Michael) Wintermute of Dolgeville; four brothers, Brian (Deborah) Miller of Johnstown, Leonard (Janice) Miller of Lee, FL, Roy (Shannon) Miller of Lee, FL, and Kevin (Sheree) Miller of Madison, FL; two sisters, Judy Ann (Bruce) Wendt of Crossville, TN, and Anna (Steve) Bentley of Johnstown; three grandchildren, Baize Wintermute, Adrian Brothers, and Isaiah Brothers, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended Lexington Family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brothers was predeceased by her brother Robert H. Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16th, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Family and friends may call on Monday, October 15th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Ephratah Rural Cemetery, Ephratah.
