Delores D. Erb

Delores D. Erb, age 82, of Gloversville, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.

She was born on June 3, 1930, in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Walter Oare and Catherine Rockenstyre Oare. Delores attended Gloversville schools and worked for many years as a floor worker at Gates Mills in Johnstown, until her retirement. Mrs. Erb was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Johnstown.

On June 13, 1970, she was united in marriage to Albert Erb until his passing on February 17, 1994.

Delores is survived by her two sons, Raymond (Sherry) Sartin of Gloversville and Richard (Lisa) Sartin of Greencastle, Pa.; three daughters, Nancy (James) Canary of Ephratah, Claudette (Thomas) Crocetta of Gloversville, Theresa (Andrew) Tedesco of Gloversville; and special shared daughter, Kathy Lindsley; three brothers, John (Pat) Oare of Gloversville, Bernard Oare of Dickinson Center and Fred Oare of Gloversville; two sisters, Waneta Berard of Abbeyville, S.C. and Marilyn (Roland) Oathout of Gloversville; one son-in-law, Edward Darling of Gloversville; one brother-in-law, Arthur Erb; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Danny) Bovee and Dolores Hayden; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, John Sartin; two daughters, Barbara Darling and Shirley Kilcullen; one brother, Walter Oare; and two sisters, Marie Earley and Christina E. Gillespie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 12, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.

Friends and family may call on Friday prior to the service from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
