Herkimer volleyball second at tourney

SYRACUSE - Johnstown graduate Brynn Hlozansky, a freshman on the Herkimer County Community College women's volleyball team, helped the Lady Generals to a second-place finish at the 11-team Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Hlozansky finished the tourney with 41 Kills, 39 digs, 21 blocks and 10 aces.

Oppenheim-Ephratah graduate Ashleigh Copeland had nine digs and seven kills for the Lady Generals, while Galway's Emily Martin had 53 digs, six aces and four kills.

Herkimer (17-9 overall) finished the tournament with a 5-2 record for the weekend. Both losses were to Monroe Community College.

The Lady Generals will travel to Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. match.
