Patricia Jones Ackerknecht, the daughter of Antoinette and LaVerne Jones Sr. of Fonda, was united in marriage to George Hladik, the son of George and Carmitta Hladik of Gloversville, on May 19.

The ceremony took place in the garden at the Beardslee Castle, Little Falls, Herkimer County. Mohawk Town Justice Kathleen Buck officiated.

The bride was escorted by her parents.

The matron of honor was Amanda Hladik of Ballston Lake, Saratoga County.

The bridal attendants were Elzabeth Masker of Johnstown and JoAnn Manieri of Gloversville, sisters of the bridegroom. The flower girl was Maizy Saunders of Gloversville, great-niece of the bridegroom.

The best man was Justin Hladik of Ballston Lake, son of the bridegroom. The ushers were Ben Jones of Fonda, brother of the bride and Eric Ackerknecht of Canajoharie, son of the bride. The ringbearer was Jason Johnson Jr. and Tanner Ackerkneck, grandsons of the bride.

A reception for 120 guests took place at the Beardslee Castle.

A wedding trip took place in Mystic, Conn. The couple resides in Gloversville.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College with an associate degree in business management. She is a sales representative for PPG.

Hladik is a 1982 graduate of FMCC with an associate degree in criminal justice. He works at Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services and Lexington Center.
