A new poll by YouGov finds that more people trust Fox News for information about the so-called "Affordable Care Act" than trust President Obama:

Laker all I am saying is if you want it done right, start over! This bill is not worth the time it took to write! One sided and mistake ridden.

tot, I'm wary about it too...all I'm saying is that I want to give it a chance. If there are issues, first try to work them out. Nixing the whole thing should be a last resort.

OK it's Tuesday and the casino thread has frayed BUT ---- JEERS to the Fulton County officials. I just saw on the WTEN site that Saratoga County officials are already discussing seeking a casino. Another opportunity will surely be lost by the sleeping FC brass.

Approval numbers for the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, continue to illustrate wariness among American voters about health care reform, with only 19% saying they believe the quality of their health care will improve in the next year.

Forty-three percent say it will get worse, while 33% say the controversial law won't affect their health care, according to Quinnipiac.

I saw a great quote from comedian Andy Borowitz about Veterans Day. He said, "An awesome way to celebrate Veterans Day would be to let Veterans decide what benefits Congress gets."

Like it or not, Obamacare IS our health care reform. After being unsuccessful for over 3 decades at reforming health care, I'd like to see it given a chance. And Ted Cruz is hoping it succeeds?...don't think so.

NOBODY wanted healthcare reform to fail. NO ONE AT ALL. Everyone wanted to do it but what we got was OBAMACARE, a partisan no dealing, not a compromise one way bill. If it was done with representatives from both sides sitting at a table agreeing on things, dealing back and forth to compromise hammering out a fair deal for EVERYONE... we would now be actively working together to make it all happen. But instead we have an argument, a constant battle with zero compromise. You reap the rewards you sew. Maybe even the last offer to delay for a year was shot down unequivocally. Obama's legacy= hard nose partisan politics.

I think that the whole thing is so bad that when it finally gets tossed, we will glad things get back to what they were ---- as bad as that was.

usedto...didn't really "feel a need", just thought I'd head that off so it wouldn't work its way into the rebuttal. Drugs...if it's repealed then we won't be "sticking with it." At the least, give it time, if issues arise, try to rectify them, but don't just throw it out without giving it a chance...that's just playing politics. Unfortunate that Teddy Cruz and his gang actually want this to fail.

laker, we don't have much choice in "sticking with it". The big problem is that the liar in chief lied to the American people (IF you like your ...plan...doctor... you can keep it). Sen. Cornyn stated that it is against the law to lie to Congress, it is not illegal to lie to the American people. Rates are rising, plans and people are being dropped like hot potatoes--- this is good????

Laker,I find it interesting that you felt the need to explain to drugs that you're not backing Obama. Who cares what drugs thinks? You make a logical common sense argument. The drugged one won't believe you anyway.

The start has been a disaster but should we throw in the towel on the whole thing. Drugs, if you read this I'm not backing the Prez, just thinking we should hang on for a while. There was a good article from none other than Fox news about how people should be blaming their insurance co's rather than Obamacare for losing their policies...their policies didn't even meet the minimum standards. No more dropping you due to existing conditions, no more dropping you out of the blue if you get sick. Forget the politics and at least give it a chance.

Steven Hayward Prediction: even if Health Care. gov is fixed by the end of the month (unlikely), Obamacare is going to be repealed well in advance of next year’s election. And if the website continues to fail, the push for repeal—from endangered Democrats—will occur very rapidly. The website is a sideshow: the real action is the number of people and businesses who are losing their health plans or having to pay a lot more. Fixing the website will only delay the inevitable.

Nov 11 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's healthcare reform has reached only about 3 percent of its enrollment target for 2014 in 12 U.S. states where new online health insurance marketplaces are mostly working smoothly, a report released on Monday said.

States with functioning exchanges have signed up 49,100 people compared with the 1.4 million people expected to be enrolled for 2014, according to the report by healthcare research and consultancy firm Avalere Health.

Individualists are always consistent patsmart. We know who we are and don't have to lie or resort to subterfuge to get a point across. We believe our opinions and beliefs are ours, not somebody elses forced on us. It stands to reason that a collectivist lib would think that that sort of 'extremist' reasoning is lame, libs don't know any other way. No surprise there. Meanwhile, as libs continue to exploit low information Americans I'll continue my simple, consistent and occasionally contentious agenda of crushing liberalism every chance I get. So yes patsmart, I am consistent and not ambiguous about it either. Two traits libs hate.

so now you both condone lies? Very inconsistent. And drugs, I still need you to show me where I've supported the administration. I asked you before and you ignored me. I object to your constant rants offering nothing positive and I've said that before too.
