National Friends of the Library Week was a great success

National Friends of the Library Week was a great success and a lot of fun at the Gloversville Public Library. The staff was given small tokens of appreciation to thank them for all they do for the Friends and the library. A book raffle was held for children. Books were won by children from pre-K through 12th grade. A basket full of books and other items was presented to the first baby born at Nathan Littauer Hospital during Friends Week. Many thanks to all the people who donated beautiful and creative baskets that were raffled off. Also thank you to Trina Zimmerman for wrapping the baskets; Linda Callahan for making the tags, Mary Trainor for creating the flyers and tickets. The winners were thrilled when they were contacted.

The Friends wish to thank everyone who participated for continuing to support our beautiful library. We are so lucky to have such a gem of a building in Gloversville.

Anyone who would like to join the Friends is encouraged to attend a meeting. The next meeting is Jan. 2, 2020 at the Gloversville Public Library. You can also find membership forms at the library.
