Max Spritzer has the passion and vested interest
I have heard many area residents comment that there should be more young people involved in politics. Well, here is a chance to light a fire on the Johnstown City Council. Max Spritzer is running for the 4th Ward Council seat and I am so happy to see someone with not just experience for the job, but a passion and vested interest as well.
Max is a longtime resident of Johnstown, who graduated from JHS in 2000. He’s also a graduate of FMCC and SUNY Oneonta. He’s a longtime employee of Stewart’s Shops Corp.
Max has exhibited leadership as a volunteer firefighter with the Meco Volunteer Fire Company, having served as company secretary and on the board of directors. He also volunteers as a coach with the Johnstown Little League. He is a current board member and the vice chairman of the Foundation of FMCC and a board member of Sheriff Giardino’s Public Safety Foundation.
He’s a husband and father of two small children.
If elected, Max has indicated that he has a long list of things that he would like to see accomplished during his tenure. This includes reinvigorating our downtown district, improving the quality of life, work with code enforcement to address blight concerns, make sure our city is being fiscally responsible, and he wants to enhance the city’s relationship with our school district. Max will also work to attract new business to Johnstown.
Communication is key to all of this so he will work to enhance and update the city website and use social media to better communicate with residents.
We need new energy and experience in Johnstown. Join me in voting for Max Spritzer for 4th Ward Councilman on Nov. 5.
