The problem is not the people seeking refuge
Pardon the sarcastic tone, but I can’t wait to find out what part of Mexico Stephen Paddock crossed over from before shooting 500 people in Vegas or to learn that Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, is an anchor baby. No doubt James Alex Fields was an illegal who had been given a driver’s license before plowing through people in Charlottesville. Obviously, Mexico sent criminal Robert Lewis Dear to shoot up a Colorado Planned Parenthood and Robert Bowers travelled thousands of miles with the caravan to kill 11 people in a Pittsburgh synagogue. President Trump might even mention the well-known fact that Dylan Roof would have been stopped from massacring children had there been a wall on the Mexican border.
But really, only in America can we ignore the thousands upon thousands of killings committed by people who look like us, carry Social Security cards and walk among us, in and around our homes, while denying, caging, separating, tear gassing, abandoning, deporting and hammering all-around cruelty upon the desperate people who go to extraordinary lengths to join and contribute to our society as if “they” are the bad guys.
Solve the security and humanitarian problem by deporting the white supremacists and rejecting their fascist-minded leader. Removing the real problem will make America great again.
“You can sway a thousand men by appealing to their prejudices quicker than you can convince one man by logic.” Robert A. Heinlein.
“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.” LBJ.
