William P. (Bill) Phillips
Mr. William P. (Bill) Phillips entered eternal rest on June 8, 2021, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY, with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle.
Bill was born on June 5, 1954, to John and Louise (Pat) Phillips of Canajoharie.
He attended Canajoharie High School and FMCC.
He was the owner of Bill’s Auto Body and Propane Service in Sprakers, NY. He also worked for the town of Charleston Highway Dept. for many years.
He was a member of the Fort Plain American Legion. He also was a Big Brother for the Big Brothers Program for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his loving brother, Jack Phillips.
He leaves behind two nieces, Carrie Phillips Fletcher, Karen Soule; and a nephew, Kevin Greene, all of Connecticut; stepsons, John and Justin Belfance; and three step-grandsons; his beloved cat, Ted; Barbara Phillips of Fonda, NY; and many great friends and neighbors.
Anyone who would like to gather to remember Bill in a special way may do so on Sunday, June 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
Burial will take privately at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
