Rebecca L. Cornish

Rebecca L. Cornish, 64, of Chestnut Street, Gloversville, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.

She was born Gloversville, on March 18, 1957, a daughter of Richard and Idamae Beekman Pedrick and was a 1975 graduate of Johnstown High School. Rebecca earned an associate’s degree from FMCC in 2005. She was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Cornish was employed at the former Hussmann Corp. in Gloversville, for twenty five years. Later, she was well known as a Super Sample Gal at the Price Chopper in Gloversville.

Rebecca enjoyed gambling trips with family and friends, often spur of the moment and late at night, and always ending up at Exit 33 with great memories. She looked forward to afternoon car rides and stopping for ice cream with her special friend, Lee Bartlett. Her greatest gifts were her kind heart and generous soul to all who knew her. Rebecca was well known for her delicious desserts. She treasured her family and her devotion to her children and grandchildren was immeasurable.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Richelle Kilmartin.

Survivors include three children, David Kilmartin Jr. and Kailey Chase (TJ Dusenbury), all of Gloversville, and Kyle (Nicolle) Chase of Mayfield; four siblings, Timothy (Elaine) Pedrick of Johnstown, Jennifer (William ) Guy of Paducah, KY, and Karen Ryle (Andrew Farnsworth) and Laura (Brian) Hayner , all of Mayfield; two grandsons, Oliver and Odin Dusenbury; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2 p.m. at 2791 State Highway 30, Gloversville.
