Milton G. Dorn
Milton G. Dorn, age 97, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 11, 1924, in Gloversville, a son of the late Guy A. and Lulu Smith Dorn.
At age 16, Milton graduated with the Johnstown High School, class of 1940. He received a Regents diploma, an achievement he was very proud of.

He made many toys for his grandchildren that are still cherished today. He was also an admirable pitch partner at the family table.
Milton married Ruth M. Dorn on November 22, 1947. They maintained a strong marriage until her passing on June 6, 2009.
In addition to his parents and wife, Milton was predeceased by his son, Karl M. Dorn who passed in 1972; and a brother, Dewitt W. Dorn, who passed in 1988.
Survivors include his daughter, Marie Ackerbauer (Sam Sarraino); three grandchildren, Carl Ackerbauer (Courtney Stewart), Kristen Baker (Thomas), Michael Ackerbauer (Raylene); great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Alexandra Baker, Bryce, Mikhaila, and Austin Ackerbauer; two lifelong friends, Frank Bellinger and Ruth Praetorius; as well as several nieces and nephews.
