Robert Ellsworth, 89, of Northville, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020. Bob was born on May 17, 1931, to Hiram and Mary (Kenyon) Ellsworth.
Bob graduated from Northville Central School and worked many years at Rullison Tannery, and was caretaker of the Northville Cemetery with his brother, Corky. Bob later worked at Fulton Friendship House, caring for mentally impaired patients, until his retirement.
Bob also volunteered as a driver for the Northampton Ambulance Service for many years. Bob never married but lived with his companion, Bertha Rhodes until her death. Together they loved and raised, as their son, Mike Rhodes.
Bob is survived by his “son” Mike Rhodes of Homestead, Florida; and Mikes children, Kenny, Matthew, Robert and Beverly.
Bob is also survived by his sister, Janice (James) Dence of Great Pond, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, companion, and siblings, Corky, Homer, Claude, Len and John Ellsworth, Charlotte Wadsworth, Lena Knowles and Libby VanNostrand.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Masks and social distancing are required. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home.
