Corleen D. Bordis

Corleen D. Bordis, age 66, of Saratoga Springs, passed peacefully on March 1, 2020, while under the excellent care of Saratoga Hospice.

Born in Gloversville on September 16, 1953, she was the only child of Muriel and Paul Bordis, who predeceased her.

She attended Meco Union Free Grade School and Mayfield Central School, graduating in 1971.

She led the most interesting life, living in several different cities, doing all sort of wonderful things but Gloversville always drew her home. In the early 2000s, she moved to Saratoga to be with her companion. Everyone she had contact with, loved her unique personality and she will be missed greatly. Besides loving animals of all kinds, she loved classic cars. She would know the make, model, engine size and all sorts of pertinent information on the cars she loved. And in her later years, she enjoyed watching classic car sales on tv.

She is survived by several cousins including Jean Werie Rust, who she had a close friendship with. They were born the same year along with a third cousin, Bonnie Rhodes, who moved to California when she was young. She is also survived by her very special buddy, Max, who she had to re-home a few months ago when she could no longer care for him.

Thanks to hospice, who went above and beyond in caring for her and in honoring her wishes. Thank you to Mr. Chris Provoncha, who adopted Max and is providing a very loving home who, sent updates with pictures to Corleen to ease her breaking heart and she was so very thankful to him. Also, a huge thank you to Barbara Ryder DeRizzo, who came into her life in a business relationship, quickly stepped up to help as a friend in her final days.

God bless you all for being such good people. Any expressions of sympathy can be sent to Adirondack Save-a-Stray, 4880 NY-9N, Corinth, NY 12822, in Corleen’s name, and who do such excellent work finding homes for unwanted animals or the next time you see a Camaro, please say a little prayer for on her behalf.
