Shawn Trigg, 53, of Fonda, passed away suddenly, as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, March 21, 2020. He will always be loved, missed and remembered for his selfless, compassionate, loyal, hard working and loving character.
Shawn was born on Sept. 16th, 1966, to John D. Trigg and Betty J. Armer, in Ballston Spa N.Y., and went on to graduate from Galway High School in 1985. He married his wife and best friend of nearly 32 years, Lori Peterson Trigg on May 28, 1988. He went on to work in the construction industry; lastly for M. Sullivan Construction, until he went to work for their wonderful family friends who own; Sherman Tile Assoc. Being mechanical in nature; he was able to work his way up in the company to ‘Tile Mechanic’; the best of the best in tile. Shawn lived a good hard-fought life. From battling non-hodgkins lymphoma to working his whole life as a skilled labor. Shawn loved his Hunch (Lori), his Harley, bulldogs and Budweiser.
Shawn leaves behind his loving wife, Lori Trigg, of Fonda, his son Bradley Trigg (Leah Ellers), of Amsterdam; his daughter, Shawna Trigg (Ryan Buckmand) of Fonda; his mother, Betty Trigg, of Broadalbin; brothers’, John “Pat” Trigg; of Tribes Hill/Fonda; Eric Trigg (Gabby Ellers); of Amsterdam and Brian Bishop, of Galway; his sisters’ Melody (Michael) Washington, of Maryland; Pennie (Karl) Caton, of Maryland, Kathy Trigg (Will), of Berne; Dawn (Dennis) Funk, of Broadalbin. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive him. So very special to him his niece Nicole and great-niece Gloria Shaffer. He was predeceased by his father John Trigg and his brother Jerry Bishop.
A Memorial Service honoring and remembering Shawn will be held at a future date; due to the state of N.Y. and Federal Government restrictions at this time.
