Brian Raymond Belknap
Brian Raymond Belknap, 44, passed unexpectedly while doing what he loved, fishing and being outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his entire family and network of great friends.
Brian was born June 18, 1975, in Gloversville NY, to Brian M. Belknap and Mary L. Clemons. He went on to graduate from local schools and spent his entire life working and battling Juvenile Diabetes being employed most recently as a chef. His favorite pastime and a passion of his life was being outdoors. Especially hunting and fishing; in the woods is where you’d find him most or fishing a stream or lake, especially salmon fishing with his father, friends and family. He loved watching his daughter play volleyball, cheering her on from the bleachers and never missing a game. He enjoyed watching his son play soccer and all of his drama plays.
He leaves behind not only his parents, Brian M. Belknap and Mary L. Clemons; loving siblings, Heather Lynn Catlin (Jerrod) and Scott Eric Belknap (Trisha); but also his wife, Rosina Valachovic Belknap; beloved daughter and son, Gabby McKenzie Belknap and Bryen Thomas Belknap. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his cousin, James “Jim” Belknap Jr.; his uncles, Dennis, James “Jim” Philip, Paul and Bobby; his aunt, Jill Eads; grandparents, Pearly and Elizabeth Belknap. He is also predeceased by Harry Clemons and Esther M. Clemons. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also predeceased him.
A visitation period will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Ehle and Barnett Family Funeral Home, 15 N. William St., Johnstown NY 12095. A brief memorial service where family and friends are welcome and encouraged to share memories of Brian and will be held at 6:10 p.m.
Immediately following services at Ehle and Barnett F.F.H., LLC, a continued celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Loyal Order of The Moose Johnstown Lodge, 109 S.
