Rose Faulkner, 94, of Gloversville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. She was born on July 28, 1925, to the late John and Angela Maria Caputo Pianelli. Rose was married to the late Robert Faulkner. She was retired from Grandoe Company as a glove maker.
Rose was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her world and she leaves behind priceless memories. Rose, Christine and Emily shared a relationship that was strong and deep rooted. She was their biggest supportive cheerleader in all their endeavors. Rose was also a lover of animals, caring for them as an extended part of her family.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home for the love, support and care given to Rose. She enjoyed many activities and spent everyday helping out. Rose found comfort while in extended care through the special bonds she formed with those that cared for her during her time there.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Christine Shwajlyk of Amsterdam, NY; her granddaughter, Emily Shwajlyk of Bronxville, NY; her sister-in-law, Eva Pianelli of Mayfield; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Adeline Pianelli Grant; and brother, James Pianelli.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, November 30, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville, NY. Burial will be held in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, NY.
