Mrs. MaryAnn Gargiulo, age 78, of Gloversville, died Sunday morning, November 17, 2019, at Wilkinson Residential Facility, Amsterdam.
She was born May 24, 1941, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Alfred Studenic and Ethelyn Faville. She graduated from Gloversville High School. She was a stay-at-home mom, dabbling in real estate and retail.
MaryAnn loved her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed living on the park, sitting by the pool and golfing with her friends. She was truly a kind and beautiful soul. She was married to her beloved husband of 52 years, George, on August 28, 1958, who predeceased her. Her love for him was ever present.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. Gargiulo Deming and Rebecca Gargiulo Clarkin (Todd) of Gloversville; two sisters, Linda Drexel (Grayson) of Colorado and Cynthia Lewis (Graham) of Florida; three grandchildren, Skyler Deming, Caroline Bakyta and Amanda Bakyta; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Studenic (Dorothea).
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, at the John W. Finocan Funeral Home Inc., 13 Prospect Ave., Gloversville. A prayer service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetary, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice or James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society of Fulton County.
