Virginia [Vertucci] Fyfe
Virginia (Vertucci) Fyfe, 90, of Gloversville, died October 3, 2019, in the comfort of her home after a long illness and support by Mountain Valley Hospice field caregivers. Born in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late Francis F. and Pauline Hladik Kovarovic.
She was an elementary school teacher in the local public schools. A lifelong resident, she was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Vertucci Riccio; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several dear cousins of the Hladik family. She was predeceased by her husbands, Phillip C. Vertucci, Archibald L. Fyfe; and a son, Frank Vertucci.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on October 17, 2019, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, where a memorial mass will follow at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
