Joseph J. Prue Sr.
Mr. Joseph J. Prue Sr. of Gloversville, NY died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 6, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was 87.
Born in Moriah, NY on February 13, 1932, he was the son of the late James and Verna Cheny Prue. As a child he and his family moved to the area, and Joe was a graduate of Gloversville High School. He served proudly in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954 when he was honorably discharged.
On October 19, 1963, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Agnes Warwick Prue. He is survived by his wife; his children, Tina (Scott) Kuehner and Joseph (Virginia) Prue Jr.; grandchildren, Brandon Lair, Easton Prue, Lindsay Meservey and Jessica Harnish; and special friends, Floyd and Betty King.
Joe was employed with Niagara Mohawk for many years until his retirement as a dispatcher. He was also the owner of Rocky’s Tavern in Gloversville. He loved to hunting, fishing, telling stories and always enjoyed a good joke.
In keeping with his wishes, there are no services. Instead, enjoy some time with your family and take some time to go hunting or fishing — as he would.
