Natalie Scribner Klohck

Natalie Scribner Klohck was called home unexpectedly on June 9 at the age of 92 in Johnstown, N.Y.

Natalie is survived by her daughter Johanna Kenyon of Johnstown and son Thomas Klohck of Latham, N.Y. as well as her brother Robert Eugene Scribner of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Jesse Kenyon and William Kenyon, and a great-granddaughter and namesake Natalie Kenyon, eight nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Klohck, brother Wayne Scribner and sister Rovena Scribner Kipka.

Natalie was born on May 26, 1927 in Vermont to Laura and Robert Scribner. She graduated from Hartwick College during World War II with a degree in nursing. She married Thomas Klohck after the war. They settled in Johnstown and had their two children. Later she spent many years caring for others at Wells House in Johnstown as a registered nurse. She spent the last year and a half at the Willing Helpers Home and we would like to thank them for the love and care she received from all of the staff.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Ehle and Barnett Family FH, 15 North Williams St. Johnstown NY 12095.

Immediately Following the service in the ‘Ehle Chapel’; located in the funeral home; and celebrate Natalie’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, in the care of the funeral home, in which we will mail any contribution to the Albany Chapter on your behalf or via the Anerican Cancer Society website.
