Patricia Robertshaw, 78, of Petoff Gardens Gloversville, NY passed peacefully on April 11, 2019, at Nathan Littauer Hospital; after a brief illness; with her loving family by her side. ‘Patti’, as she was affectionately referred to by her family and friends, was a former active member of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Amsterdam, N.Y.
Patricia was born on March 17, 1941, to her parents Fred Warfield and Helen Hesslink. Patti was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, Amsterdam. On October 15, 1969 she was united in marriage to Richard Robertshaw, who predeceased her in November of 2011. Patti worked diligently at Verizon Communications as a switchboard operator more than 20 years. She was an avid reader, an “amateur” gardener and had a passion for collecting various dolphin items to display in her home. She loved to travel to Hawaii, which she did several times, it being her favorite place to vacation.
Patricia leaves behind her beloved three sons; Keith Engle (Jane), Kevin Engle (Margaret) and Jeffery Engle; loving brother; Michael Warfield; grandchildren; Jorden, Dakota, Nicholas and Elizabeth, all of whom she adored while giving all of her love. One of her favorite times in life was attending her grandchildren’s various school and sporting events. They never failed to fill her with joy. She also leaves behind nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Robertshaw, as well as her parents.
Fulfilling Patti’s final wishes a service will be private at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Further details will be provided in the near future through the local newspapers, as well as the funeral home website.
