Anna M. Ivancic

Anna M. Ivancic, who lived a full life of 104 years, passed peacefully on October 23, 2017, at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, in the town of Johnstown. She was a devout Catholic, and a member of the former St. Anthony’s Church, now Holy Trinity Parish, in the city of Johnstown.

Born on Jan. 6, 1913, to the late John Ivancic Sr. and Maria Piskaty Ivancic. Anna attended the local Johnstown School systems of her era. She started working at early age of fifteen at Bowman’s Manufacturing. Anne then went on to have a great second career at Tryon Sportswear for 15 years. She was able to retire in 1976, after her three years working for Saloff Industries. Anna was a proud member of Local 392. Anne will not only be remembered for her kind spirit, arduous work ethic and great contributions to her local churches. She was a faithful member of the St. Anthony’s Rosary Society.

She leaves behind a sister, Rosemary Ivancic of Gloversville, NY; a brother, John Ivancic; her close friends, Mark Frasier and Dottie Oare; as well as many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, John, Anthony, Milton, Frank and Rosemary Ivancic.

Relatives and friends may attend a calling period on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the chapel of Ehle and Barnett FFH LLC, 15 N. William St., Johnstown, NY 12095. A Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow on Oct. 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 205 Glebe St., Johnstown, NY 12095.
