Easter events


∫ Ukrainian Easter bazaar: St. Nicholas Ukkrainian Catholic Church, 24 Pulaski St., Amsterdam, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include homemade babkas and pastries and other traditional food for purchase to eat in or carry out. There will be Ukrainian-themed gift items with a limited quantity of Ukrainian Easter eggs (pysanky) and a pysanky demonstration at 1 p.m.

∫ Mayfield Community Group — annual Easter egg hunt: Mayfield Firehouse, 28 N. School St., Mayfield, 1 p.m. The event includes games, prizes, a visit from the Easter Bunny and raffle baskets. The Easter bonnet contest will be 1:05 p.m.; the Easter egg hunt is divided into age groups as follows: 1 to 3; 4 to 6; and 7 and older.


∫ Eighth annual Gloversville Easter egg hunt, Trail Station Park, West Fulton Street, noon to 2 p.m. Divided by age range: 0 to 2, 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12. After the hunt children can get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Photos offered by Ciera Paige Photography (4-by-6-inch print for $5). The event will be hosted by the city of Gloversville Recreation Commission.



∫ Music by Bill Ackerbauer and others — Arkellebration event: Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library, 2 Erie Blvd., Canajoharie, noon to 5 p.m. Ackerbauer will give a performance at 2 p.m. Free admission.
