∫ Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Artists’ Gallery Fall Exhibit: Fulton County Visitor Center, Routes 29 and 30, Vail Mills. Free and open to the public. Gallery is open weekends.

∫ Artist designed and decorated table top holiday trees exhibit: Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Work also on display includes a “Charlie Brown tree” of handcrafted ornaments, paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery and poetry. The gallery, inside Mohawk Harvest, is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The show will run through Dec. 31. ∫ 2017 Fall Art Show: The Art of Disguise: Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville. An exhibit of artwork by local and regional artists. Admission is free. The public can view the pieces from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; or from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The show runs to Jan. 10, 2018.



∫ Fire survivors Diane Dunlop and Jeremy Dake benefit: Patricia’s, 32 S. Perry St., Johnstown, 2 to 6 p.m. The event includes dinner buffet, Chinese auctions, 50-50 raffle and music. $10 donation; free for children.



∫ The Polar Express Celebration: Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville, noon to 3 p.m. Admission: $5 per person to benefit the Nigra Arts Center or a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots. The event will feature hot chocolate (free with admission), crafts, a holiday basket raffle, entertainment and more inspired by the classic tale “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg. Concessions will be available and Santa Claus, who will make an appearance for photographs. The event will also feature Sensory Santa for children with special needs who want to meet Santa in a quieter setting without being overwhelmed by large crowds, bright lights and loud music, noon to 2 p.m.

“Joyous Sounds of the Season” — a holiday concert to benefit Mother Teresa’s concert: Church of the Holy Spirit, 149 S. Main St., Gloversville, 2 p.m. Free will donation. Featured: Olivia Esposito, Paul Whitney, Jess and Sam Zimmerman, Don Ambrosino and Sue Shrader.


∫ Bill Ackerbauer — acoustic brunch: Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville, 11 a.m.

∫ The Valley Choralaires: United Methodist Church, East Main Street, Canajoharie, 3 p.m. Free will offering will be taken to benefit area school graduation awards.

∫ Dreamcatchers — a celebration of music for the community: Grace Lutheran Church, 1 W. Montgomery St., Johnstown, 3 p.m. A free will offering to benefit the church will be taken.



∫ Line dancing: Sharp Shooters Billiards and Sports Pub, 35 E. Main St., Amsterdam, 7 p.m. All-request dancing after lesson until 10 p.m. $6 cover. Lesson and music provided by Sue Kaupelis.



∫ Adult craft class will be making holiday tags and gift bags: Gloversville Public Library, West Fulton Street, Gloversville, 1:30 or 5:30 p.m. class. Register for either class using the link on the library’s website or by calling (518) 725-2818. All supplies are provided for this free event.
