Felon charged with possessing weapons

STRATFORD — On Friday the state police in Fonda arrested 39-year-old Max Rancier of Stratford, for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; and six counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon — convicted felon.

Rancier is accused of having seven long guns in his residence. The weapons were discovered following an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred at his home on May 10. Rancier is prohibited from owning the firearms due to his status as a convicted felon.

Rancier was taken into state police custody on an arrest warrant after making bail and being released from Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges.

He was released to a third party.

He is due in Stratford Town Court on July 6 at 3 p.m.

Man charged with Leandra’s Law

EPHRATAH — On Saturday, state police in Fonda arrested 29-year-old Erik W. Frascatore of Johnstown, for three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated — Lenadra’s Law, a class E felony.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, state police responded to a report of an erratic vehicle operator on Route 29 in the town of Ephratah. Upon checking the area, they located the vehicle which they then observed commit multiple vehicle and traffic infractions. Troopers stopped the vehicle and while speaking with the operator, later identified as Frascatore, they could smell the odor of alcohol on his breath. Frascatore was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test which indicated that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Frascatore was taken into custody and transported to the state police barracks in Fonda where he provided a breath sample of 0.11 percent B.A.C. There were three children in the vehicle at the time of the stop who were turned over to the care of a third party.

Frascatore was released to a third party and is due in Oppenheim Town Court on July 14 at 5 p.m.

Driver charged with BAC of 0.08%

MAYFIELD — Kerrilyn S. Polite, 38, of Northville was charged by state police on Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicate and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.8 percent or higher, first offense.

Driver facing two DWI misdemeanors

MAYFIELD — James M. Holmes, 45, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Sunday of driving while intoxicated, first offense and aggravated DWI with no priors.

Driver facing drunk driving charges

AMSTERDAM — Carlos J. Espada, 27, of Amsterdam was charged y state police on Monday with driving while intoxicated, first offense and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Criminal mischief, threats charged

BROADALBIN — Dylan T. Whitt, 30, of Ballston Spa was charged by state police on Monday with criminal mischief with intent to damage property and second-degree aggravated harassment — threat.
