Driver charged with driving while drunk
AMSTERDAM — Joseph T. Shaffer, 27, of 108 Grand St., Amsterdam, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies at 1:16 a.m. May 27 with driving while intoxicated, driving with 0.08 percent or greater blood-alcohol content, and speed in zone.
Deputies said he was charged following a traffic stop in the town of Amsterdam. Deputies said Shaffer was identified on scene as the driver of the vehicle and displayed signs of alleged intoxication. Deputies said his chemical breath test was 0.13 BAC.
The suspect will appear at 6 p.m. June 15 in Town Court.
Driving while intoxicated charged
JOHNSTOWN — Paul W. Gallo, 32, of Ballston Spa was charged by state police on May 2 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated, first offense.
Gallo was released on an appearance ticket.
Woman charged with burglary
FONDA – Chitrainie Khywah, 25, of Schenectady was charged by state police on April 29 with second-degree burglary of a dwelling.
Khywah was arraigned and released in her own recognizance.
Driving while drunk charged
BROADALBIN — Todd A. Gasner, 55, of Johnstown was charged by state police on April 28 with driving while intoxicated, first offense.
He was released to a third party.
Impaired by drugs and driving charged
AMSTERDAM — Alex J. Draus, 25, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on May 25 with first-degree operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs.
Draus was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.
Criminal sexual act charged
JOHNSTOWN – Joshua A. Rumrill, 32, of Johnstown was charged by state police on May 25 with first-degree criminal sexual act, a class B felony.
Rumrill was held on cash bail.
Aggravated contempt charged in case
PERTH — Levi B. Cabral, 22, of Perth was charged by state police on May 17 with aggravated contempt, a class D felony, for an incident which occurred on April 24 in the town of Perth.
Cabral was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.
Driver charged with driving drunk
BROADALBIN — Brian D. Sanford, 53, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on May 18 with driving while intoxicated, first offense.
