Stratford man faces unspecified charges

MAYFIELD — William E. Rumrill, 44, of Stewart’s Landing Road in the town of Stratford, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 15 with unspecified charges.

Deputies said he was arrested after a domestic incident involving a firearm. Rumrill was arrested after his girlfriend reported that he had aimed a 12-gauge shotgun at her and threatened to use it during a domestic argument. Deputies, assisted by state police, arrived on scene and located Rumrill in a vehicle in his driveway. He did initially flee on foot, but was eventually apprehended without injuries to any party. A 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition were located in the same vehicle Rumrill had been in.

Rumrill was arraigned in Town Court and released without bail pending further court action.

Fort Johnson man faces DWI charges

AMSTERDAM — George A. Thomas Jr., 32, of 159 Antler Road, Fort Johnson was charged on Feb. 23 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, improper plates, operating while motor vehicle registration is suspended, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of fifth-degree stolen property.

Thomas was charged following a traffic stop in which he was displayed signs of intoxication. He was given standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested on DWI charges. His vehicle was found to be stolen out of the city of Albany, the rear displayed license plate was found to be stolen, and an additional stolen license plate was also located within the vehicle.

Thomas was transported to the New York State Police barracks in Fultonville, where he agreed to submit a chemical breath test that showed a 0.12 percent BAC. He was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket.

Amsterdam man faces charges

HAGAMAN — Scott A. Moore, 22, of 263 Hammondtown Road, Amsterdam was charged on Feb. 26 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with operating a motor vehicle while the registration was suspended or revoked. 

Moore was charged following a traffic stop and was processed roadside and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Amsterdam Town Court. 

Florida man faces multiple charges

AMSTERDAM  — Andrew M. Miravalle, 36, of 330 Nooks Corners Road, Florida was charged on Feb. 24 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with driving while ability impaired drugs, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without an interlock device and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Miravalle was charged following a report of a vehicle parked in the center of a roadway on Snooks Corners Road in which he was observed unconscious behind the wheel of the vehicle. He was administered standardized field sobriety tests and he displayed signs of impairment. Drugs and additional drug paraphernalia were located within the vehicle. 

He was issued uniform traffic tickets and was released with a return court date Thursday at 6 p.m. at Florida Town Court.
