Gloversville woman faces charge

JOHNSTOWN — Jacqueline M. Hilts, 30, of 42 Elmwood Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 23 with making a punishable written statement, a misdemeanor.

Police said she was charged in connection with an offense at 7 p.m. June 19, 2020. Police said Hilts gave a statement to officers who were investigating a domestic incident.

She will appear later in City Court.

Felony charge for Gloversville man

JOHNSTOWN — Gary Bernard, 47, of 22 Lincoln St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 8:55 p.m. Feb. 22 with one felony count of making a terrorist threat.

Police said he was arrested stemming from an incident from 2 to 2:54 p.m. Jan. 14. He was charged on a warrant.

Bernard was arraigned in in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail to reappear in court later.

A jail spokesman said he was still incarcerated as of Feb. 26.

Schenectady man arrested on warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Carmel D. Wilkerson, 46, of 833 Grant Ave., Schenectady, was arrested by city police at 8:35 p.m. Feb. 18 on a bench warrant.

Police said he was arrested on a warrant issued by City Court for failure to appear in April 2019 on original charges of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right.

Wilkerson was released to appear later in City Court.

Johnstown man faces several charges

JOHNSTOWN — Joseph M. Wheeler, 48, of 491 Johnson Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:36 a.m. Feb. 18 with speed in zone, a violation; and operating with suspended registration, a misdemeanor.

Police charged him on North Perry Street, stopping him for alleged speeding and found his vehicle’s registration had been suspended.

Wheeler will appear later in City Court.

Man faces criminal mischief charge

JOHNSTOWN — Christopher D. Freese, 41, of 433 Route 334, Johnstown, was charged by city police at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 18 with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Police said he was charged after officers responded to a family offense at 101 N. Perry St.

Police said an investigation revealed Freese had broken a window out of a car that he didn’t own.

He was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.

Johnstown man faces traffic charges

JOHNSTOWN — Scott E. Carroll, 54, of 804 Fonclair St., was charged by city police at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 15 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a red light.

Police said he was charged on South Comrie Avenue after officers stopped his vehicle for a violation. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

Carroll was issued tickets for City Court.
