Bad headlights lead to several charges

JOHNSTOWN — David W. Swartz, 35, of 10 McMartin St., was charged by city police at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 1 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and inadequate headlights.

Police said he was arrested on Prindle Avenue. Members of the Johnstown Police Department stopped a vehicle on Briggs Street for alleged violation of state Vehicle and Traffic Laws. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license, and the vehicle was found to be unregistered, police said.

Swartz will appear later in City Court.

Failure to stop leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Antonio Zarrelli, 38, of 92 Forrest St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 8:48 p.m. Feb. 5 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Police said he was arrested on Briggs Street after his vehicle was stopped for an alleged state Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license, police said.

Zarrelli was issued appearance tickets for City Court.

Speeding leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Michael Beauvais, 33, of 201 County Highway 101, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 2:34 a.m. Jan. 30 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and speed in zone, a violation.

Police said he was arrested on Maple Avenue after his vehicle was stopped for a state speed violation, and he was found to have a driver’s license that was suspended.

He was released to appear later in City Court.

Driver charged with not having a license

JOHNSTOWN — Christopher J. Roberts, 27, of 309 Bingham Road, Marlboro, was charged by city police at 12:30 a.m. Jan. 22 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and failure to keep right, a violation.

Police said he was charged on North Comrie Avenue after his vehicle was stopped for a state Vehicle and Traffic violation for lane usage and found the driver’s license had been suspended.

Roberts will appear later in City Court.

Woman charged with being disorderly

JOHNSTOWN — Brooke M. Bateholts, 20, of 130 1/2 Spring St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 3:56 p.m. Jan. 12 with disorderly conduct, a violation.

Police said officers responded to a disorderly person complaint at 363 N. Perry St. During the investigation, police said they learned Bateholts was acting aggressive toward employees there, refusing to leave and throwing frozen food at employees’ vehicles, police said.

She was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.

Driver’s license suspended charged

JOHNSTOWN — Charles E. Treleaven, 22, of 266 Scott Road, Fultonville, was charged by city police at 10:54 p.m. Jan. 6 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and insufficient taillamps, a violation.

Police said he was arrested on South Comrie Avenue, for a state Vehicle and Traffic Law violation and it was found his driver’s license was suspended.

He was issued appearance tickets for City Court.
