Criminal possession of a weapon charged
AMSTERDAM — David J. Williams II, 36, of 218 Houseman St., Mayfield was charged on Thursday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unregistered motor vehicle, improper plates and uninspected motor vehicle.
Williams was charged following a vehicle stop in which during the stop, deputies recovered marijuana, metal knuckles and a non-working “switchblade” knife.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and released with an appearance ticket and uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Amsterdam Town Court on Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.
Driving while intoxicated charged
AMSTERDAM — Andreina M. Mena Sykes, 33, of Schenectady was charged by state police on Monday with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
Woman charged with petit larceny
CHARLTON — Felicia A. VanPatten, 28, of Scotia, was charged by state police on Monday with petit larceny for an incident which occurred in Providence on Nov. 20 at 6:42 p.m.
