Driver charged with drunk driving
BROADALBIN — A 39-year-old man was arrested by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Dec. 22 on driving while intoxicated and other charges following a vehicle stop in the town of Broadalbin.
Deputies said Shennon M. Capron of 133 County Highway 109, Broadalbin, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on County Highway 126 in the town of Broadalbin. It is alleged Capron did commit the offense of driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a class “E” felony. Deputies stopped Capron after observing the vehicle he was operating fail to keep right. During the subsequent interview with Capron, deputies observed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and believed Capron to be impaired. Capron refused all field sobriety tests and failed to submit to a chemical test.
The suspect was charged by deputies with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, failure to keep right, refusing prescreen test, and consumption of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicle.
Capron was arraigned in the Town Court and was remanded without bail to the Fulton County Correctional Facility, to reappear later.
