Failure to register as sex offender charged

GLOVERSVILLE — Percy Allen, 45, of 78 Fremont St., Apt. rear, was charged with failure to register a change of address as a sex offender by city police on Nov. 4 at 4:15 p.m.

Police say that Allen failed to report a change of address within 10 days between Oct. 19 and 29 as required under the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Allen was taken into custody by Gloversville police in conjunction with the Johnstown Police Department and state police K-9 unit.

Man charged with having stolen property

JOHNSTOWN — Joshua W. Sanders, 40, of 44 Conly Drive, Johnstown, was arrested by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Nov. 10 on a warrant in the city of Johnstown.

Deputies said he was arrested on an active warrant for felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. It is alleged he possessed stolen property valued in excess of $1,000 while in the town of Johnstown, deputies said.

Sanders was arraigned in Mayfield Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility without bail. He will appear later in Johnstown Town Court.

Driver charged with stolen vehicle

GLOVERSVILLE — Joseph S. Banovic Jr., 20, of 128 Broad St., Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Sept. 7 with felony third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanor third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating with no license.

The sheriff’s office made the arrest public Wednesday.

Deputies said Banovic was arrested after he was allegedly observed operating a stolen vehicle by a patrol unit on East Pine Street in the city of Gloversville. The vehicle was reported stolen out of the city of Schenectady, deputies said.

Banovic was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.

Rochester resident faces larceny charge

AMSTERDAM — Darin L. Thomson, 30, of Rochester was charged by state police on Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Thompson allegedly shoplifted in which the value property was greater than $1,000.

He is being held without bail.

Fultonville resident charged with larceny

AMSTERDAM — German A. Lopez, 43, of Fultonville was charged on wednesday by state police with petit larceny.

Lopez was charged after allegedly shoplifting.

He was issued an appearance ticket to return to court at a later date.

Johnstown man faces several charges

GALWAY — Jeffrey J. Mitchelson, 38, of Johnstown, was charged by state police on Wednesday with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief — intent to damage property and fourth-degree criminal mischief — preventing an emergency call.

Mitchelson was charged following a domestic dispute.

He was released on his own recognizance.
