Sprakers man facing weapons charges

ROOT — A Sprakers man faces weapons charges after a domestic dispute and for allegedly pointing a rifle at horses.

Joseph Snyder, 32, was charged by state police on July 24 with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Snyder allegedly pointed a rifle at horses on the property and threatened to harm them. The threats were made in front of a child under 17 years old. He was also in possession of a weapon he was not legally allowed to own.

He was arraigned in Minden Town Curt and released on his own recognizance. Snyder is due back in Root Town Court on Aug. 10 at 4 p.m.

Fort Plain man faces petit larceny charge

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Dylan L. Sargeant, 21, of Fort Plain was charged on Thursday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with petit larceny.

Sargeant had allegedly stolen a car battery and gasoline.

He was processed and released on an uniform appearance ticket returnable to court on Aug. 12.

Man charged with criminal possession

JOHNSTOWN — Lawrence Cross, 33, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Thursday with fifth- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Cross allegedly was in possession of cocaine.

Woman charged by state police

GLEN — Kahliah M. Hodnett, 21, of Schenectady was charged by state police on July 24 with second-degree criminal impersonation.
