Passenger charged with having drugs

AMSTERDAM — Diane M. Cassella, 42, of 348 Gardnier St., Rotterdam was charged on Tuesday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Cassella, who was the passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic infraction, was charged after she was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and tramadol hydrochloride, which is a schedule four controlled substance.

She was processed at the sheriff’s office where she was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Amsterdam Town Court.

Man charged with burglary, 2nd-degree

MOHAWK — Christopher J. Fisher, 45, of Fonda was charged by state police on July 22 with second-degree burglary, for an incident which occurred in Mohawk on July 5.

Driver facing felony unlicensed driving

JOHNSTOWN — Daniel G. Davison, 41, of Gloversville was charged by state police on July 23 with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a class E felony, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Davison was stopped on Route 30A at 12:20 a.m.
